What is Untap T.O.?

The first Toronto Cube event run entirely by the members of the Toronto MTG Cubers Discord! We are a passionate group of Magic: The Gathering™ players who play what? Cube!

This event will be hosted on Sunday September 14th, 2025 in a community brewery – Steadfast Brewing Company and will feature 9 different Cubes provided by the community. It’s a full-day event (from 9AM-9PM) with an hour break for lunch.

Each ticket costs $60 CAD; this includes entry to play in 2 different Cube drafts (Cube preference selected through Hedron Network). There will be 4x 8 person pods with a total of 6 rounds of Swiss and a cut to Top-8 where players will battle it out for a chance to win a custom foil treasure token!

The event is near Little Portugal North-West of the Trinity Bellwoods neighbourhood. It’s a walking distance from Lansdowne Station and right in between the 506 and 505 streetcar lines.

Event Structure

Players will be organized into pods for each draft slot using the Cube tournament software Hedron Network. Read more about how the event is structured here. All judging and further organization will be handled by our lovely floor Judge, Lilith, with help from the other TOs.

For the psychos who want to keep Cubing after the main events, feel free to stick around and casual drafts will be running until the brewery closes.

Where can I buy tickets?

Tickets can be bought through our Tixtree for $60 CAD. Purchasing a ticket will also RSVP you for the event; if you wish to cancel at any time please do so as early as possible to open the slot up for another person. Refunds will be provided up to 2 weeks before the event at which point they will be locked in.

If you miss out on buying a ticket, don’t fret! Tixtree offers automatic waitlisting so if there are any refunds/cancellations, you’ll get contacted.

What’s Included?

A purchase of 1 ticket to Untap T.O. gets you the following:

• Entry to, at minimum, 2 Cube drafts.
• 1 drink ticket exchangeable at the bar for any alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage. Please have your ID ready if you wish to purchase an alcoholic beverage. PLEASE DRINK RESPONSIBLY.
• An entry prize and a chance at both a 3-0 pin and the grand prize for coming out first in the top-8. Prizes are listed below.

Prizes

While there are prizes on offer, this event is for fun and the prizes reflect that!

• At the door, you will get a Foil Food Token with art by Toronto MTG Cuber member Madeline Miyun. 
• Each 3-0 of a draft will get you a pin with custom art from Toronto’s very own Dave Lee.
• The grand prize will be a Foil Treasure Token with art by Toronto MTG Cuber member Madeline Miyun.

Parking

This is a mostly residential area, but it’s also in a city, so parking is not ideal. There are parking spots available at the Tim Hortons next door, the No Frills across the street or free street parking near Toronto West High School.
